Privacy Policy

What Flipvo, LLC collects, why, who else touches it, and how to get a copy or have it deleted. Short version: contact details so we can reply, payment data handled entirely by Stripe, and coarse analytics.

Who this covers

This policy is Flipvo, LLC's. Flipvo, LLC operates more than one product brand, including Software Servants. Whichever brand's website you bought from, the seller is Flipvo, LLC, and these terms apply to that purchase. An individual product may also publish its own additional terms; where it does, those apply alongside these, and these govern anything the product-specific terms do not cover.

It describes what happens to personal data across our brands and the sites and products we operate.

What we collect

Three categories, and nothing beyond them:

  • Things you send us — your name, email address, and message when you use a contact form, plus anything you email us afterwards.
  • Purchase data — your email address, what you bought, subscription or purchase history, and payment status.
  • Analytics — pages visited, approximate region, referrer, device and browser type. Coarse and aggregate; we do not build advertising profiles and we do not sell personal data.

Why we hold it

To reply to enquiries, to deliver and bill for something you asked for, to meet our tax and accounting obligations, to keep our sites secure and working, and to understand which pages are useful. We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for anyone else's advertising.

Payment data

Card details are entered directly with Stripe, our payment processor. Full card numbers never reach our servers and we cannot see them. What we hold is the outcome — an email address, what was bought, and whether it was paid. Stripe processes card data as a controller in its own right under its own privacy policy.

Service providers we use

Each of these sees only the slice of data its job requires:

  • Stripe — payments, subscriptions, and the billing portal.
  • Resend — sends and receives our transactional email, including replies to your enquiry.
  • Google Analytics — aggregate analytics on public pages only. Admin areas are never tracked.
  • Sentry — server-side error monitoring, configured not to send personally identifying data.
  • Amazon Web Services — hosting for our sites and databases, in the United States.

Cookies and local storage

Very little is set in your browser:

  • A theme preference (light or dark), stored locally on your device. Never sent to us.
  • A signed session cookie, set only if you sign in to a billing portal via an emailed link. It identifies your session and nothing else.
  • Analytics cookies set by Google Analytics, as described above.

How long we keep it

Enquiries and the email thread attached to them are kept while there is a live conversation and for a reasonable period after, so we can pick up where we left off. Records of purchases are kept as long as tax and accounting law requires. Analytics data is retained on Google's default schedule.

Where it is stored

Our servers are in the United States. If you contact us or buy from us from outside the US, your data is transferred there.

Getting a copy, or getting it deleted

Email flipvollc@gmail.com and ask. We will send you a copy of what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it, within 30 days. You do not need an account and there is no charge.

Depending on where you live you may also have the right to object to processing, or to complain to your local data protection authority.

Deleting an enquiry does not delete purchase records we are legally required to keep for tax and accounting.

Security

Traffic is encrypted in transit. Admin access is restricted to authenticated accounts. Card handling is delegated entirely to Stripe, so a breach of one of our sites cannot expose card numbers.

We describe what we actually do rather than claiming a certification: we hold no formal security audit, certification, or compliance accreditation, and we do not claim one.

Children

Our products are sold to businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.

Changes and contact

We update this page when what we do changes, and move the date at the top. Questions, requests, or complaints: flipvollc@gmail.com.
