The problem

Scott’s AC and Heat is a small, family-run HVAC company on Florida’s Space Coast competing against call-center franchises and lead-resellers. The usual web option for a shop that size is a template site bolted to a third-party booking widget — slow, generic, and quietly renting the contact form back to the owner. Scott needed something that looked like a real local company and did one job well: turn a homeowner searching “AC repair near me” into a booked call.

What we built

A fast marketing and lead-generation site with a single center of gravity: the Get a free estimate form. It’s service-typed (AC repair, new system, maintenance, heating, indoor air quality, or “something else”), takes a phone or an email, and promises a reply within one business day. Around it sits everything a homeowner checks before they call — a plain-spoken “your neighbors’ AC company” intro, a clear breakdown of the work (repair, installation, heating, indoor air quality, ductwork), a three-step “what happens when you call” explainer that sets honest-upfront-price expectations, reviews, and an FAQ. On mobile, a sticky bottom bar keeps a phone call and the estimate form one tap away the whole way down the page.

How we shipped it

Built on Laravel with an Inertia + React front end and Tailwind — the same battle-tested pattern behind our other Space Coast home-services sites — and deployed from git onto a single AWS box we run. Lead submissions go straight to the owner; there’s no CRM subscription and no per-lead fee standing between Scott and his own customers. Light and dark themes, mobile-first, and tuned to load fast on a phone in a driveway.

Outcome

Scott’s AC and Heat is live in production, indexed, and turning local searches into estimate requests. Like everything we build, the code, the server, and every lead belong to the client — nothing rented, nothing locked in.
